Everyone always suspected I would go into computers, including myself. And while I am still very technically minded and talented in that area, there were far too many transgressions made against me by the damn things! My interest in audio began during the legally questionable years of Napster when I began to manually edit and correct errors out of songs I had “obtained”. After becoming quite adept at that and developing “dog ears” that can hear a TV transformer operating three rooms away, I decided to dive into audio, which I find to be a striking combination of both the technical and the creative.

After graduating from Full Sail in ’01 with a Recording Engineering degree, I returned home to Kansas City and landed a job at Wheeler Audio. I have since worked on a broad scope of projects from sound designing logos to cutting radio and TV spots to mixing a feature length motion picture.

If there is one thing I do outside of work, it is play video games. From the Intellivision back in 1982 to the Xbox360 today, I have either played or owned nearly every system that has come out. My favorite has been Mortal Kombat II since it came out in 1993, which I own an original full-size arcade machine of. Sadly, it sees little play time because there are few left foolish enough to play it with me. In recent days, I continue to nurture my World of Warcraft addiction and my “less-than-modest” Guitar Hero skills – but looking ahead I can’t wait for Ninja Garden II on the 360.
