We couldn’t be more thrilled to introduce you to our newest member, Janet.
Hailing from an era where it was not common to see women in rock bands, Janet (a pioneer of the rock violin) defied social norms and started her first band at the age of 11. Before she knew it, Janet was performing in front of thousands of people and opening for rock legend Led Zeppelin.
Perhaps it was exchanging road stories backstage with Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, or maybe it was simply her amazing musical prowess; Janet soon became interested in the engineering side of sound production and built her first recording studio…. in a converted barn!
Since the humble days of her first studio, Janet has become an award-winning audio engineer. Her work spans a vast spectrum of media, which includes: film, TV and radio spots, sound design for web based games, music production, surround sound theater post scores and corporate videos.
She has also written lyrics and melodies for major, nationally recognized brands: Hallmark, Northwest Airlines and Sprint. She has performed violin/vocals for notable bands such as Morningstar, Cole Tuckey, The Janet Jameson Band and is currently in the bands Nation and Rock Paper Scissors. And if that weren’t enough, Janet is an amazing ceramic artist.
So for those keeping score at home, we just hired a Jimmy Page meeting, converted barn studio making, violin playing, ceramic fabricating, award winning audio engineer. Yea, we’re excited!
